Endlich hatte ich mal die Zeit mein Lieblingsalternativkino mit einem Besuch zu beehren, und dann gleich mit der Original-mit-(zwei, D und F!)Untertitel-Fassung von Takeshi Kitanos neuem Werk "Zatoichi"!
Die erste Frage die ich bier auf jeden Fall nicht beantworten kann (sofern sie jemand stellen mag ;) ) ist die welchem Genre dieser Film zuzurechnen ist.....dies ist das schwerste an diesem filmischen Leckerbissen. Er hat viel Kostüm und tolle Settings des alten Japans, stupidesten Slapstick, schön blutige Schwertkämpfe, witzig eingesetzte Musik und Soundeffekte und das genialste Stepkonzert seit Riverdance.....ja ich rede immer noch von Zatoichi... :) !

Europe's famous Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) will now be monitoring the U.S. elections. The institution normally monitors elections in third world countries in transition, and in crisis areas or regions where civil wars have destabilized the political process. In november, the OSCE will be monitoring local and state elections in Kazakhstan, Skopje, Eastern Congo, Ouagadougou and... the United States. As the BBC reports, for some Americans this comes as a humiliation; others see it as a necessity, since they have lost trust in the American election process

Zugegeben, der Name des Programms wirft einen nicht grade um. "Blogfish, als gäbe es nicht schon genug Frontends für die diversen Blogs" dachte ich mir, lies mich dann aber doch dazu hinreissen die Beschreibung zu lesen, und was ich das sah gefällt mir.
Allein der Untertitel schaffte es meine Neugier zu wecken, lautet dieser doch "Natural selection for your memes". Aha, klingt doch schon besser. Im "About" bin ich dann endlich mehr erfahren:

Omnilife, a Mexican retail business, donated 1,000 IBM ThinkCentre desktop PCs to the schools. And, IBM Global Services provided services to support the desktop PCs running on Linux.

Wir kennen das doch alle. Die laestigen Noobs, die nicht wissen, wie man sich von der Mailingliste unsubcribed, weil sie inhaltlich nicht mitkommen, schicken die "unsubscribe" Meldungen an die falsche Adresse.
Aber auch uns Gurus kann es schon mal passieren, dass wir das Mail mit den entsprechenden Infos verlieren.
Gute Mailinglisten-SW schickt daher im Header jeder Mail die enstprechenden Infos mit und mit der rictigen Software kann man das auch bequem nutzen.

Film

Ich war ja anfangs etwas skeptisch, war doch "Komm süsser Tod" ein netter, aber für mich nicht überragender Film, der nur so halb (und das wegen Josef Hader) bei mir hängen geblieben ist.
Dennoch nahm ich mir Sonntag Zeit mit einem Spezl mir den Film anzuschauen, es war so gesehen ausser "Butterfly Effect" und dem von mir schon besprochenen "Zatoichi" auch der einzige ansehbare Film im Kino, daß er in Salzburg spielt war eher zweitrangig....dachte ich.

Somewhere in Andrew's house is a hefty Linux server running many applications, including an Asterisk Open Source VoIP software PBX.
There is no desktop PC in Andrew's house. Instead, he runs a Linux thin client on a Sharp Zaurus SL-6000 Linux PDA. Sitting in its cradle on Andrew's desk at home, the Zaurus (running a special copy of Debian Linux, NOT as shipped by Sharp) connects to a full-size keyboard and VGA display, and runs applications on the server. Another cradle, monitor and keyboard are at Andrew's office, where he also doesn't have a PC.
Walking around in his house, the Zaurus (equipped with a tri-mode communications card) is a WiFi VoIP phone running through the Asterisk PBX and connecting to the Vonage VoIP network.
Walking out of his house, the Zaurus automatically converts to the local mobile phone carrier, though with a data connection that still runs back through Vonage.

Es ist Herbst. Woran ich das erkenne? Anhand der Aussendungen der PR-Agenturen, die nun wieder meine Inbox überschwemmen. Neben einigen interessanten Meldungen ist aber auch jede Menge Schrott dabei, es ist unglaublich.
Da zahlen Unternehmen den Agenturen Unmengen von Geld und was dabei herauskommt ist eher zum Weinen.

Asterix hat gestern auf der Frankfurter Buchmesse den erstmals vergebenen Comic-Publikumspreis "Sondermann" gewonnen. Prämiert wurde der neue Band "Asterix plaudert aus der Schule" (Egmont-Verlag), in dem vierzehn Kurzgeschichten aus den vergangenen Jahrzehnten zusammengefasst sind.
